Posada Trail letter from @SAPLChurchChild

Hi

Posada is a Christmas festival from Latin America that re-enacts the search of Joseph and Mary for lodgings.

During Posada, nativity sets of Mary, Joseph and their donkey travel on a roster basis, visiting a different family every night. Saint Andrew’s Psalter Lane Church have had a wonderful nativity set knitted for us by our Knit and Natter group.

We would like Porter Croft families to take part in our version of Posada by inviting Mary, Joseph (and their donkey) into their homes for the night. This would be on a rota basis, from the beginning of Advent (30th November) up to the 20th December when we will be holding our Crib service. Each family would receive a candle to light on the night they have them.

Please put your name on our list of families at reception (as we hope demand will be high) and I will work out a timetable for successful candidates.

Have a Wonderful week, and I hope to see you really soon with the set.
